Nationally, more than 50% of children in foster care reunify with their parents. In Montana, 62% of children reunify with their parents.

It is estimated that 27% of children who leave foster care and are reunited with their families return into the foster care system.

It is estimated that 30% of children in foster care grow up to repeat the cycle of abuse and neglect with their own children.
